About me

I am a fine art photographer and graphite artist, and my work is rooted in a lifelong reverence for horses, dogs, and the natural world. I was captivated by the grace, majesty and power of horses as I was growing up, and I found in them not only companionship but also freedom, purpose, and emotional truth. They never lie, and their presence in my life shaped my path long before I ever picked up a camera or pencil. They continue to inspire my work with their quiet wisdom, ancient strength, and deep connection to humankind.
I am self-taught in both photography and drawing and I work to create art that is deeply felt. I am influenced by classical masters such as Rembrandt and Caravaggio, as well as contemporary artists who explore nuance and emotion, and horses, in particular, are central to my artistic soul and vision. It is not just their supreme beauty but their loyalty and steadfastness that inspires me. They have carried the weight of human history, ploughed our fields, discovered our continents, and stood, and fallen, beside us through centuries of change. Through my work, my intention remains the same: to create work that moves, inspires, and reminds us of the grace, and freedom still present in the world.
